Do Awesome agree with the following statement?

‘The essential message of biblical equality is simple and straightforward: Gender, in and of itself, neither privileges nor curtails one’s ability to be used to advance the kingdom or to glorify God in any dimension of ministry, mission, society or family. The differences between men and women do not justify granting men unique and perpetual prerogatives of leadership and authority not shared by women. Biblical equality, therefore, denies that there is any created or otherwise God-ordained hierarchy based solely on gender. Egalitarianism recognises patterns of authority in the family, church and society – it is not anarchistic – but rejects the notion that any office, ministry or opportunity should be denied anyone on the grounds of gender alone’. (Discovering Biblical Equality complementarity without hierarchy – page 13).

I would be interested to know whether, in the Awesome-Reform debates, Awesome were asked whether they agree with the following statement, and how they replied.

My understanding of what defines an Evangelical is this:
1) belief in the authority of Scripture
2) belief in the centrality of the Cross of Christ
3) belief in the necessity for conversion
4) public activism in personal evangelism and acts of mercy

Of course this definition is by no means exclusive to any particular denomination

Bishop Pete Broadbent's comment as reported in the Sunday Mail are cruel, accurate and shared by a vast number of people in England.
Who say's that truth is conveniently nice?
Only Disney and "Royals"

It was never right to accept the notion of two integrities about the ordination of women. One side is right and the other side is wrong. The right approach for evangelicals in the coming synod debates is to try to ensure that the strongest arguments on both sides are heard so that everyone can weigh those arguments in the fear of God. This issue is a matter of obeying or disobeying God. It cannot be a 'second order' issue.

The Residential Committee meeting was well attended. +Keith started each day with a Bible reading focussing on how we were to be the "bronze wall" in Jeremiah 15:20. There was a marvellous talk by Professor Lennox on militant atheists which I would have loved to have videod for you!
George Kovoor talked about his work with EFAC, and I hope to include a PowerPoint from him.
There were routine administration work to do, and we spent some time on the wording of a possible Following Motion for the Diocesan Debates on the legislation for women bishop.

Colin, I can only describe what happened to me nearly 50 years ago as a conversion when I met with God. It changed my life completely! Even today, I have had people in my Cell Group bubbling over with their joy at finding Jesus. So nothing has changed!

Dont atheists and communists believe in conversion. Also the term evangelical is used by many to describe extremists who believe in an almost magical conversion to shared charismatic experiences, by some it means happy clappy to others it means black and white orthodoxy, reactionary, hot prot or committed to inerrancy. We now avoid it.
